Seen & Heard 4 is a celebration of movement and sound crossing multiple borders. The Hungarian collective Bloom! brings "CITY" a dance-theater piece about prejudice, power, fear and faith. Each night also showcases two never-before-seen-or-heard, not-to-be-missed, collaborations featuring dance and movement greatness by twelve local luminaries.

Bloom! Collective: CITY
Winner of the 2011 Rudolf Laban Award, the Budapest based collective Bloom! makes its eagerly anticipated U.S. debut with CITY, a fearless, politically charged work that grapples with the resurgence of European nationalist governments and the consequences of social conformity. It's funny, and gets your gut by asking big questions through an original sound design and brave performances by this young and highly accomplished group.


Third Wheel Blind Dates
We invited 12 stellar performers - six musicians and six dancers - and grouped them with people they've never performed with. We played match maker - and were careful to take risks. In a new twist on this format, we've got trios lined up. What will happen? We don't exactly know, but we're eager to explore the unknown and the inherent potential for both disaster and greatness that comes from this edge of inquiry.
