| Mazzoni Center is pleased to announce its annual celebration and fundraiser, Mazzoni Center Gala (formerly Elixir), will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at The University of the Arts Dorrance Hamilton Hall in Center City, Philadelphia.
The evening will feature a DJ, live music, dancing, a silent auction, and more.
Following the Gala, Mazzoni Center will host their after party which will be open to the public at Cibo, (13th and Walnut Streets) from 10PM - 12Midnight. Guest who did not attend the Gala can enter for a donation of $20 for drink specials, entertainment and dancing.
“I am excited about the gala’s theme of Metamorphosis which is appropriate for us not just because this has been a year of change but because change is in the DNA of this organization,” said interim CEO Stephen Glassman, “Since its inception in 1979, Mazzoni Center has constantly changed to meet the needs of the community it serves, evolving from a grassroots, all-volunteer clinic to a nationally recognized leader in LGBTQ health and wellness services, employing 150 people and providing vital services to more than 35,000 individuals each year.”
Proceeds from the event support Mazzoni Center’s continuum of health and wellness services, including a full array of primary health care services, mental and behavioral health services, and LGBTQ legal services, as well as HIV and STI testing, food bank, housing subsidies for families and individuals affected by HIV, support groups, outreach and education programs
