There are tons of options to choose from, when it comes to Philly's restaurant scene. But it's up to me to help you sift through to find the best. One of my favorite things about Summer in the City, is that a lot of the restaurants pour outside, and you can sit in the sun, while enjoying a drink and an amazing dinner with friends.
10. Cantina
Address: 1651 E. Passyunk Ave
What Kind of Food: Mexican
More Info: They always have such an inventive menu, but their Specials are always what surprise me. Their Specials are usually so audacious and delicious They have this courtyard, for outdoor seating, so bring your Margarita dancing shoes and enjoy!
9. Talula's Garden
Address: 210 W. Washington Square
What Kind of Food: New American
More Info: This gorgeous restaurant has outdoor seating that'll make you leave feeling like you're part of the Royal Family. Maybe I'm just being a queen, but hidden gem is worth the trip. Enjoy the sunny dinner.
8. Valanni
Address: 1229 Spruce Street
What Kind of Food: Latin American/Mediterranean
More Info: This Gayborhood staple is the perfect spot for a half-dozen drinks and some dinner, while you're at it. I've never had a bad dinner here, and the outdoor-seating is really lively and adds something extra to the feeling of the dinner. Why sit inside? See...you have no answer.
7. M Restaurant
Address: 231 S. 8th Street
What Kind of Food: New American
More Info: May the force be with you. You must go here. The gorgeous courtyard is something to soak in, truly. The food is Sous Vide compression cooking, and aside from the delicious food, the ambiance is killer. Everything about this place is amazing, but the outdoor seating is what makes it really really amazing.
6. Morgan's Pier
Address: 221 N. Columbus Blvd
What Kind of Food: New American
More Info: I have to tell you, there is something magical about this place. It's kind of what Philly has been needing, a really fun restaurant on the water, away from the bright lights of the city. The food is just as magical as the ambiance.
5. Tria
Address: 1137 Spruce Street
What Kind of Food: New American Wine Bar
More Info: There is no better way to spend a Saturday afternoon, than planting your ass in an outdoor-chair at Tria. Get yourself an amazing wine and some apps, and enjoy the people-watching. It's just the perfect place.
4. Barbuzzo
Address: 110 S. 13th Street
What Kind of Food: Mediterranean
More Info: There is something amazing about sitting outdoors at Barbuzzo. You can enjoy their delicious food outdoors, where it's not cramped. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Philly, but sitting outside is A+++.
3. Fork
Address: 306 Market Street
What Kind of Food: New American
More Info: This upscale & established restaurant can look a bit intimidating, but the food is so amazing and the service is always perfect, that it's worth your time. Sit outside, and it becomes a more loungey version of Fork, a softer side if you will. Enjoy and get your forks ready!
2. South Philly Tap Room
Address: 1509 Mifflin Street
What Kind of Food: Gastropub/American
More Info: This is my favorite bar in the city, because they have a forever-changing beer list and an amazing selection. Let's not forget their delicious bar food, which is more perfect, if you're eating it outside in the sun.
1. Parc
Address: 227 S. 18th Street
What Kind of Food: French
More Info: This is my favorite outdoor-seating Restaurant in Philly. Its un-matchable ambiance, inventive food, and perfect service make for a perfect outdoor moment. It's directly across from Rittenhouse Park, so after your amazing meal in the sun at Parc, take a stroll over to Rittenhouse Park, and keep the outdoor Summer memories happening.
