Everyone always says third time's a charm...well in the case of Tabu's Circus of the Stars 3.0 I'm still confused as to if that was the case. There must have been something in the air last night because the alcohol was flowing strong. I'm not sure what part was more entertaining -- the drunken debut of the new Misses Perrywinkle or meeting all of Josh Carson's family while they drank more than an Irishman at an open bar (I can say that because I'm Irish).
The real stars of the night though were the performers. Each came with an elaborate array of costumes and talents. Two live performances and two drag numbers; there was an assortment of entertainment for all. The star of the night had to be Ms. Sushi though. Allowing the audience to select a fan favorite, Sushi was announced the winner of the night's "Crowd Favorite" after performing two intense numbers with elaborate getup. Could she be the next in line to perform alongside the Doll Stars of the Dollhouse? That remains to be seen.
It wouldn't be fair however to not give a shout out to (in my opinion) the best dressed of the night Ms. Perry. Trained by Doll Star Zsa Zsa St James (who also looked fabulous in a short tight fitting dress with perfectly matched accessories), Perry knows how to shine...literally. Performing to a Niki Minaj number, her first outfit was outstanding – Crystal shaped boxes, lights and all. I know I won't do the Queen justice describing her wardrobe but you can check it out in my video recap through the link below. There you will find my review of each of the performers along with several short clips from each of the night's numbers. You'll also be able to view a full video of Josh Carson's live performance of his first single LOUDER available on ITunes now.
Check out my full video review containing short snippets of each of the performances and let me know who you think should have been crowned the winner. Also what you think about Carson's single – is it worth the 99 cents?
