Philadelphia, PA - FringeArts and William Way LGBT Community Center team up to present A TRANScendent Evening with Mx Justin Vivian Bond and Erin Markey. This one-night, three-event extravaganza takes place February 17th at the William Way LGBT Community Center, 1315 Spruce Street, and atFringeArts’ waterfront headquarters, 140 N Columbus Blvd. (at Race St.). Tickets deals are available for the events starting $30 and are available by phone at 215-413-1318 or online at using the code “GetCreamed”.

At 5 P.M, the evening kicks off at the William Way LGBT Community Center with a happy hour and intimate performance by Mx Justin Vivian Bond. Beer and wine will be served.  Justin Vivian Bond is a trans-genre artist living in New York City.  An icon in the queer cabaret, Mx Bond explores gender identity through film, music, and performance, in an attempt to practice radical empathy.

At 8 P.M, the party moves to FringeArts’ theater for a performance of Erin Markey’s fresh new musical A Ride On The Irish Cream. A live band and swath of carpet serve as the space for the thrills and terrors of a relationship between Reagan (Markey), a vainglorious self-made girl, and Irish Cream (Becca Blackwell), her family’s pontoon boat/horse. They are in love, but when their relationship is tested by dust ruffles, sex for money, severe T-storms, and a secret cellar, the only way to stay together is to remember all the parts of themselves their bodies tried to forget.

At 10:30 P.M. the festivities spill into La Peg Brasserie for Get Pegged Cabaret, again featuring Mx Justin Vivian Bond.

Mx. Bond’s show is entitled Justin Vivian Bond Shows Up Late for Love: A Post-Valentine’s Day Check-In. How’s Everybody Doing?

In an attempt to practice radical empathy Mx. Justin Vivian Bond is stepping out of their liberal champagne bubble and venturing on a cultural fact-finding mission across America.  Sticking with their credo, “Keep it Pretty, Keep it Shallow, Keep it Moving,” Mx. Bond asks “Why alienate when you can infiltrate?”

Get Pegged Cabaret is FringeArts’ monthly late-night cabaret curated by John Jarboe, Artistic Director of the Bearded Ladies Cabaret.  Like a poison cookie – tempting and treacherous, pleasing and perilous – Get Pegged Cabaret lures you inside a reimagined La Peg, then jumps you with unrestrained intimacy and performance.  Each night features uncensored and stimulating entertainment from the sexy, satirical, daring, delightful, queer, and most dangerous performers from Philadelphia, New York, and beyond.
