- 'Interested In' Web Series has won a prestigious Award of Merit from The Best Shorts Film Competition. Interested In is a coming of age story about recently out college student, Parker, (Michael Witkes). We follow his journey through hook up culture, in Philadelphia, as he begins to find himself after "the closet."

I thought that I would immediately accept myself after I came out, but boy was I wrong! I still had so much shame about my sexual identity. As a young theater kid, I turned to plays and movies for guidance. But all of the narratives about young gay men at the time ended with the main character coming out or committing suicide. I was sick of watching gay characters die or hide their identities. So I wrote "Interested In" to explore what happens to the young LGBT folk that live through their shame. Interested In explores that confusing after the closet when you are finally able to freely express your sexuality.
