Philadelphia Black Gay Pride Inc. was organized in 1999 and is committed to promote unity among African Americans and people of African Descent who are sexual and gender minorities. The organization is also committed to producing an annual celebration of “Black Pride”, as well as organizing a variety of activities throughout the year in Philadelphia that encourages and advocates for the spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical health and well being of all related communities.

In doing so it not only raises the perception of quality gay entertainment in Philadelphia but it also provides continual opportunities for these productions throughout the year.

Philadelphia Dyke March

The Philadelphia Dyke March is a radical, feminist celebration bringing together dykes, queers, and our allies of different classes, races, genders, sizes, ages, faiths and abilities.

Philadelphia Dyke March is not a parade or a stroll - it is a demonstration, a proclamation of our dignity, our strength, and our passion. The Philadelphia Dyke March was created as an
alternative to the mainstream, patriarchal, corporate parties traditional Pride Parades have become. It is a volunteer-led, grassroots effort that proudly affirms "you don’t have to pay to be gay."

There is no cost. This is an all-ages event. A disability accessible vehicle is available for the march.

Philadelphia FIGHT (FIGHT) is a comprehensive AIDS service organization providing primary care, consumer education, advocacy and research on potential treatments and vaccines. FIGHT was formed as a partnership of individuals living with HIV/AIDS and clinicians, who joined together to improve the lives of people living with the disease.

Philadelphia Freedom Band

We are a small group of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons wanting to created a concert and marching band in Philadelphia. Many similar bands exist across the country and have enjoyed great camaraderie, learning, and fun. The Philadelphia Freedom Band will meet weekly in Philadelphia for practice and perform at events throughout the metropolitan area. Whether you are an amateur, professional, or someone who hasn't played in years, you are welcome at the Philadelphia Freedom Band.
