A nonprofit organization that does HIV and STI testing, pregnancy tests, offers referrals for mammograms for uninsured or under-insured women, and provides hunger relief. Bebashi also offers support groups and case management for people who are HIV positive. |

There are many women that would love to participate in the many volunteer activities that are present in our lesbian communities as well as in the heterosexual arena. We do a wide range of community service, such as Aids Awareness, The March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Awareness, Safe Sex seminars, Black Lesbian pride events, and so much more. Black Women's Arts Festival

Since 2003, this annual festival has showcased the multi-media visual and performing arts of black women in and around Philadelphia. Features: films & video screenings, stage, dance, and musical performances, and visual art exhibits, etc. All this happens at the University of Pennsylvania campus venue The Rotunda, located at 40th & Walnut Streets in Philadelphia. The event is sponsored in part by UPenn's Foundation Arts organization www.foundationarts.org.
Men and all other respectful persons are welcome to attend this event, and the venue is alcohol & smoke-free, wheelchair accessible, and all-ages.
BWAF Philly 2005 is scheduled for November.
Applications are accepted year-round for exhibitors, vendors, volunteers, intern assistants, and paid performers. |

Broad Street Ministry

Broad Street Ministry (“BSM”) is a broad-minded Christian community that cherishes creativity, fosters and nurtures artistic expression, extends inclusive hospitality and—works for a more just world through civic engagement.
We gather to worship every Sunday evening at 4:00pm, and have post-worship gatherings for folks to get to know one another better.
During the week our sanctuary is transformed into our Cathedral Dinning Room, a place where all Philadelphians are welcomed, and the most vulnerable in our city are able to access life changing services.
