Cockatoo Halloween Art Installation

Executive Director of PhillyGayCalendar

Tim Laskey (he/him) is a Philadelphia-based artist who works in both digital and traditional media. Originally from Long Island, NY and having lived many years in rural western Pennsylvania before moving here 20 years ago, “playing between extremes is a place I find a lot of creativity.

For this project, the concept Halloween represents some of that – young and old alike gather to celebrate, despite their differences. Boundaries between dead and the living, natural and supernatural, become dissolved, creating beautiful, spectral magic.” Be sure to check out his independent comic book series ‘Revolutionaries’, an all-LGBT superhero universe, as well as several future projects.
