Join us for a celebration of queer stories from award-winning Philly authors Kathy Anderson and Larry Benjamin.
Just in time for National Library Week (April 23-29), Kathy Anderson will read from her 2023 debut novel, The New Town Librarian (NineStar Press), a contemporary novel of humor and hope featuring a queer middle-aged librarian, a wisecracking hypochondriac who impulsively moves from Philly on a quest for a shiny new life in rural South Jersey.

Larry Benjamin will read from Excellent Sons: A Love Story in Three Acts (Beaten Track Publishing), winner of the 2022 Lambda Literary Award in the category of Gay Romance. Told via alternating, intertwining points of view, Excellent Sons combines a contemporary gay romance with an erotic retelling of a classic fairy tale that both centers and drives the novel.
