Afternoon Tea & Discussion: Queer Spaces and Cisheteropatriarchy

DateSunday, July 18, 2021
Time3:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Join us for this month’s Afternoon Tea Discussion on Queer Spaces and Cisheteropatriarchy. During this conversation we will discuss the ways in which queer spaces can uphold misogyny, transphobia, and heteronormativity, and ways to unlearn these systems of oppression.

This is a closed event for folx within the LGBTQIA+ community who also identify as Asian/Pacific Islander.

*API: We use this term to include many ethnic and national identities, including East Asian, Southwest Asian, Central Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, North Asian, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, and Mixed-Race folx.

*Queer: members who self-identify as part of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, gender-non conforming, intersex, and asexual communities

We will be using Zoom for this discussion.
