City & Western presents Paisley Fields
Join us for a night of country music and rhinestones at Cousin Danny’s Lounge on April 24th! Our headliner, Paisley Fields, is a former member of queer-country icons Lavender Country and his latest album, “Limp Wrist,” draws inspiration from Andy Warhol and drag artists. The album explores the intersection of rural queerness and religion, touching on deeply personal experiences of growing up queer and closeted in rural Iowa. Paisley Fields’ songs convey universal emotions of love, loneliness, lust, and fear. Also performing are Robert M. Davidson & the Broken Hearts Band, known for their heartfelt songs about love, loss, and longing, and Nobody Jones, a supergroup of Philadelphia bluegrass and country musicians. City & Western is West Philadelphia’s premiere country party since 2023, providing an inclusive, come-as-you-are, punky party to support local country and folk artists, fans, and the community. Don’t miss this unique event that celebrates queer voices in country music!
