The show that combines TEDx-style talks and burlesque -by the same performers– is back with another stunning cast! Experience the Philly-based intellectual and sensual event that has delighted audiences across the nation! Get You a Babe Who Can Do Both combines the fun of learning and yearning. Audiences can look forward to hearing thought-provoking brief lectures with accompanying PowerPoints, followed by sultry burlesque acts.
This episode’s topics include: the use of color to manipulate in ads, companion gardening, the social resources of libraries, the use of watermelon in Palestinian resistance, and a quick and dirty guide to common cognitive distortions.
“We aim to entertain with Do Both, first and foremost. It’s an incredibly fun time! But we’re also making an important political statement,” says HoneyTree EvilEye, the Philadelphia-based producer of Do Both, who also has as PhD. “Many of us have had to limit our freedom of expression because of concerns that it will hurt us professionally, but we’re dynamic beings with a variety of facets, not simply our jobs.”
“If you’ve never experienced burlesque before, this is a great place to start” she says, “We get to rouse our brains, then enjoy an entirely different type of stimulation. There’s something for everyone!”
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in the fun directly, through audience participation games, either by giving a 60 second talks or trying their hand at striptease in the Sensual Shoe Removal game.

- Philly’s most prolific striptease artist, HoneyTree EvilEye, known for her mix of sultry, stupid, and political productions
- And award-winning Philly-based emcee, Flirt Vonnegut.
