Pride Flag Ceremony at Sofitel
Celebrate the official kick-off of the historic 5th Annual Philly Pride Month on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 with Philly Pride Month and Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square. This is the first official event of Pride Month 2026 — the start of a 30+ day celebration of LGBTQ+ joy, love, and visibility spanning Center City Philadelphia, the suburbs, South Jersey, Bucks County, and beyond.
Sofitel Philadelphia is a proud sponsor and host of Philly Pride Month for the fifth consecutive year. Come out for the dedication of the giant Philadelphia Pride flag at 17th and Sansom — and hear from organizers about plans for the month from Sofitel, Philly Pride Month, the City of Philadelphia, and other community partners. For the first time ever, the kick-off will introduce and honor organizers of Pride celebrations from across the city, region, and suburbs.
Sofitel Philadelphia’s new General Manager Pierre Jotteran hosts the program, with an early guest list that includes Tito Valdes, Esq. (Director of LGBTQ+ Affairs, City of Philadelphia) and Councilmember Rue Landau. Schedule: 10:30 AM arrival, 11:00 AM ceremony, followed by a community mixer. Free to attend.
