PFP Grown Ups Mixer at Parks on Tap
Join Philadelphia Family Pride at a mixer for LGBTQ+ prospective parents, expectant parents, and current parents at the Parks on Tap at the Water Works. The Paths to Parenthood community will be gathering in person (with some light snacks) on July 26th from 7-8:30pm and again on August 12th from 7-8:30pm to get to know each other away from our screens, chat about what we’ve learned in the classes so far, and hear a little from current LGBTQ+ parents and our some of our session speakers. Look for PFP director Stephanie Haynes in a PFP shirt and a PFP yard sign by our group.
Parks on Tap at the Water Works is a beer garden run by the Philadelphia Parks Department. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase as well as snacks and dinner, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. PFP will provide some snacks to get us started. This popup is located behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art in a shady, grassy area next to the river. There is a parking lot next to the beer garden adjacent to Lloyd Hall and a paid parking garage at the museum. The 38 SEPTA bus gets you there on public transit.
