Poetry Reading and Book Signing with renowned Irish poet Pádraig Ó Tuama

Poet and theologian, Pádraig Ó Tuama’s work centres around themes of language, power, conflict and religion. Working fluently on the page and with groups of people, Pádraig is a skilled speaker, teacher and group worker. His work has won acclaim in circles of poetry, politics, religion, psychotherapy and conflict analysis.”

Ó Tuama is gay, and has been a vocal supporter of the legalisation of same-sex marriage. He has been outspoken against the practice of ‘reparative’ or ‘conversion therapy’. He is a patron of the Open Table Network, a partnership of Christian LGBTQIA people and their allies

The reading will be held in Abington Friends School’s Muller Auditorium on Thursday, February 16 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event, open to the public, will cost $15 per person. Pádraig’s books will be available for purchase on site.

Abington Friends School is a coeducational, college-preparatory school for students from age 3 through Grade 12, deeply rooted in Quaker values.
