Queerly Departed: LGBTQ+ Stories

Since most of the residents of Laurel Hill West lived and died in the twentieth century, it is somewhat easier to determine who was part of the LGBTQ+ community. As opposed to individuals who lived during the 19th century, for whom it was unsafe to be open about who they were. As we walk through the cemetery, you will meet prominent citizens, successful artists and poets, a popular musician, teachers, nurses and businesspeople.
