TMAN, is a grassroots organization based in Philadelphia, PA dedicated in its efforts to uplift Black Trans men and Trans men of color. Founded in 2006, TMAN addresses the unique needs of its members through support groups, community gatherings, special events, panel discussions and advocacy campaigns.
Trans Masculine Liberation Teach-In
Visibility means nothing without liberation. This Trans Day of Visibility, we’re coming together for a radical teach-in centering Black Trans resistance, power, and survival.
This ain’t about respectability. It’s about truth. It’s about the legacy of Black Trans men and Trans masculine people who have always been on the frontlines – fighting, building, and surviving in a world that tries to erase us.
What to Expect:
- Speakers, organizers, and elders sharing the history of Black Trans resistance
- Calling out anti-Blackness in mainstream Trans movements
- The impact of policing on Black Trans men & how we fight back
- Economic justice & survival, because visibility doesn’t pay the bills
- No watered-down politics, just truth and action
We don’t need validation. We need power. We need resources. We need each other. Join us and build with real community!
Although most of our groups are closed and exclusively for Black Trans men and TMOC, this event is OPEN TO ALL, including TLGBQIA+ individuals, Allies & Accomplices.
