Transgender Day of Remembrance 2022

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), celebrated on November 20th, is a day to memorialize those who have been killed as a result of transphobia, or the hatred or fear of transgender and gender non-conforming people, and acts to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.

Join New Hope Celebrates for TDoR starting with a candle vigil on Sunday, November 20 at 5:00 pm at Ferry Landing on E. Ferry St, New Hope, PA 18938 where we will read the names of those who have died in 2022. At 5:30 pm, we will begin our Walk of Remembrance towards Under the Moon Lambertville at 23 N Union St, Lambertville, NJ 08530.

Once at UTM, a Trans Speakers Panel will reflect on their personal experiences about how they have been impacted by anti-transgender violence from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Afterwards, UTM will host a Celebration of Life reception with light food and discounted pricing for beer, wine, and a specialty cocktail until 9:00 pm.

The specialty cocktail will also be on UTM’s menu from November 13 to November 20 during Transgender Awareness Week and all proceeds will be donated by UTM to the Transgender Law Center (TLC).
