Philadephia - Boxers NYC has been packing comedy lovers into their Upper East Side location week after week for Sucker Punch – an eclectic, weekly showcase highlighting some of New York City’s funniest stand-up comedy talent – and as of Wednesday, April 25, 2018 (and every Wednesday after), Sucker Punch will expand to Boxers Philadelphia location and hosted by Michael Kelly (Tattooed Momedy, U Up? Comedy Showcase, Come, Rainbows, Punchline Philly.)

Sucker Punch is the brain child of New York City stand-up comedian, Justin Zirilli. Each week, he brings a hot new showcase of stand-up comedy from a diverse range of talent. Philadelphia’s edition will follow this format and tare hitting the ground running with their inaugural cast, including Maddie McLennon (Paddy Wacks Comedy Showcase, Laughs on Philly), Tan Hoang (Bechdel Test Fest), Sidney Gantt (Helium Comedy Club), Hannah Trav (Ur Mom is Funny, Good Hang), and headliner, Dan Vetrano (Get Work, Punchline Philly, Helium Comedy Club.) This will for sure be a can’t-miss show. Best of all, the show is completely free and offers a different drink special every single week!

Let’s face it, when the middle of the week rolls around, we could all use a good laugh. Be sure to check out Sucker Punch every Wednesday night at 8:00 PM at Boxers Philly, located at 1330 Walnut St. Philadelphia.
