Action Wellness, Inc

Action Wellness is committed to helping people living with HIV and other chronic illnesses. We provide medical case management, health screenings including HIV testing, treatment as prevention, prevention education, supportive housing and volunteer services. Continuing our legacy of offering support and services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, our board of directors, staff and volunteers work together to sustain and enhance the quality of life for the diverse community we serve.
AIDS Bias Unit

Philadelphia’s Commission on Human Relations and the Fair Housing Commission. Investigates complaints of HIV/AIDS discrimination and finds rapid solutions. It provides information and advocacy for those who are denied housing or employment due to their HIV status.
AIDS Coalition of Southern New Jersey (ACSNJ)

ACSNJ provides comprehensive support services for people affected by HIV/AIDS, in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties of New Jersey, through leadership and community collaboration.
AIDS Delaware

AIDS Delaware is unique in Delaware for the range of services it provides. For instance, instead of offering only counseling and testing services and then referring clients to another agency for case management, we do it all in house. We provide direct services to people with HIV and their families, prevention and other educational programs, and support and advocacy for policies and actions that address the needs of people with HIV. Over the last 20 years, the agency's services have been continually evolving to meet the challenges HIV presents to each of us, our families, and friends.

AIDS Library

The AIDS Library serves the community through delivery of information on HIV, such as treatments, nutrition, and history of the pandemic, and referrals to regional and national resources. This information is provided through a variety of media including books, periodicals, medical journals, videos, audio cassettes, cd-rom, and the Internet. All materials may be viewed in the comfort of the library and most books and videos may be loaned to those with a free AIDS Library borrower card.

A nonprofit organization that does HIV and STI testing, pregnancy tests, offers referrals for mammograms for uninsured or under-insured women, and provides hunger relief. Bebashi also offers support groups and case management for people who are HIV positive.
Calcutta House
Type: HIV
Calcutta House is a highly supportive housing program located at 1601 W. Girard Avenue in Philadelphia, PA. Calcutta House has 18 private rooms for adult men and women who are seriously ill due to AIDS requiring nursing and other supportive care that they cannot get at home, but who do not need the intensity of care of a hospital or skilled-nursing facility. Calcutta House also has four one-bedroom apartments for adults with AIDS who are able to live independently but require financial support through rental assistance to do so.Calcutta House exists to serve the most fragile people with AIDS and to support the self-empowerment of each person to live as fully as their situation permits. We provide supportive housing with services responsive to the individual: those who are dying, those who are able to rebuild their lives and move on to independence, and those who will continue to require the assistance of supportive housing. We work with each person to progress towards his/her potential and to achieve attainable and realistic goals.

Compassion was the driving force that led to the founding of City of Hope in 1913. That spirit lives on at City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute, which today provides help to millions of people who are battling life-threatening diseases.
Delaware HIV Consortium

The Delaware HIV Consortium is a non-profit 501(c)(3), statewide community-based organization that is the state's leader in facilitating and promoting statewide coordination and collaboration of organizations, groups, and individuals who develop, implement, and advocate services and policies aimed at the prevention of HIV and the care of people and communities affected by HIV/AIDS in Delaware. The Consortium also performs administrative oversight and monitors direct client services including: case management, transportation, emergency client assistance and housing programs statewide. The Consortium works as a network of resources directing individuals and organizations to services, volunteerism and educational opportunities. Our Mission: The Delaware HIV Consortium is dedicated to eliminating the spread of HIV/AIDS and to creating a seamless continuum of care for all people infected and affected in Delaware.

Every year, hundreds of restaurants in the Philadelphia area participate in Dining Out for Life. Participating Restaurants will donate 33% of your food bill to pay for local services for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
