IT’S BACK! Last night, one of the hottest events in Philly premiered their second season, Drag Wars 2. Taking place at Voyer Nightclub every Tuesday at 11 PM, the club was packed. Mimi Imfurst stated while hosting the show that last night was the most packed the show has ever been. And rightly so! With 20+ contestants competing to get on one of the four mentor’s teams for $1,500 in cash and prizes, the competition was fierce. Brothers competed against brothers, couples against one another; queens young and old took to the stage to show off their skills.

Notable queen Brooklyn Ford took to the stage with a first, having all four judges ‘flip their wigs’ (similar to the Voice’s spinning chairs) in an attempt to grab Brooklyn for their team. But who were the judges? Lisa Lisa, host of Bob and Barbara’s Thursday night’s drag show, Navaya Shay, local bartender and Doll House Star, Omyra Lynn, another Doll House performer as well as a member of a local Philly dance troop, and finally Ms. Brittany Lynn, head of the Drag Mafia. Four strong queens who all bring a unique skill set to the table.

This is the first show ever that famous hosts Mimi Imfurst and Brittany Lynn appeared on stage together. Could this be the end to their long running feud? If the opening to the show were any indication, I would assume not. The Crowd went wild as Mimi and Brittany took jabs at one another throughout the formal introductions, jabbing one another’s careers, weight, and makeup.
