Celebrated playwright Ken Ludwig’s A Comedy of Tenors is now playing at Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre until March 3.
Originally developed at the Contemporary American Theater Festival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia in 2017, then further developed at the Portland Stage Company, The Niceties, a play by Eleanor Burgess, is presented in association with Huntington Theatre Company and Manhattan Theatre Club at the McCarter Theatre Center where it will be performed until February 10, 2019.
It was unique in its day because of its form: the play began at the end of the story and ended with the beginning. A contemporary play which follows this format is The Last 5 Years.
David Mamet’s 1992 play Oleanna is at the Walnut Street Theatre’s Independence Studio on 3 until February 17.
The McCarter Theatre Center presented The King’s Singers on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. This concert celebrated the fact that The King’s Singers are celebrating their 50th anniversary, which they’ve named GOLD.
