Spoiler Alert

Hey queen! So, I just saw Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and let me tell you, it was everything I wanted and more. First, let’s talk about the amazing cast. Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc is a total dreamboat and he really brings the character to life. But he’s not the only one slaying the game. We also have talented actors like Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr, Jessica Henwick, and Kate Hudson rounding out the ensemble cast. Each and every one of them adds something special to the film and it truly elevated the overall experience.

But let’s get to the real meat and potatoes of it all: the plot. Without giving too much away, the film follows Benoit Blanc as he tries to solve a murder mystery at a wealthy family’s estate. It’s got all the twists and turns you could want, and it’ll keep you guessing until the very end. And let’s not forget about the fact that Benoit is gay. It’s not even a big deal in the movie, it’s just a normal part of who he is and I love it. In an interview, Daniel Craig even said that “you are supposed to reflect life” in films, and “that [gay] relationship reflects people in my life.” It’s just a normal part of life, and the film doesn’t make a big song and dance out of it. It’s just there, and it’s fabulous.

But enough about the plot, let’s talk about the fashion. The outfits in this movie are everything. From Benoit’s dapper suits to Janelle Monáe’s stunning gowns, every single character brings their fashion A-game. I was seriously taking notes for my next drag show. The attention to detail in the costuming is just one of the many things that sets this film apart from others in its genre.

Now, let’s talk about the music. The score for Glass Onion is on point and really helps set the tone for each scene. It’s the perfect blend of suspenseful and elegant, and it really helps immerse you in the world of the film. Plus, the film features a killer soundtrack with tracks from artists like Lizzo, Dua Lipa, and more. It’s the perfect mix of old and new and it really adds another layer to the film.

But let’s not forget about the sets and locations. The film was shot on location at beautiful estates and it really adds to the opulent atmosphere of the movie. It’s like a modern-day Clue and I was living for it. Each room is meticulously designed and it really helps bring the story to life.

So, in conclusion, I would absolutely recommend checking out Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. It’s got everything you could want in a movie: a talented cast, a thrilling plot, killer fashion, an amazing score, and stunning locations. Plus, it’s always amazing to see more LGBTQ+ representation on the big screen. Here’s a list of some of the other things I loved about the film:

  1. The chemistry between the cast is electric.
  2. The film pays homage to classic murder mysteries while still feeling fresh and modern.
  3. The ending is truly satisfying.
  4. The dialogue is sharp and witty.
  5. The cinematography is stunning.

So queen, if you haven’t already, go check out Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
