A solid foundation for bridge-building exists in both Lesbian feminism and Transfeminism. Artists practicing from a feminist perspective are in a position to grow and strengthen this shared project of resistance and liberation through intimate dialogue and collaboration.

For this Open Call jurors Wit López and Juno Rosenhaus will select and pair approximately 20 Philadelphia-based artists of different generations to be in conversation for a three-month period to create new work that speaks to the intersection of Lesbian feminism and Transfeminism and its relationship to today’s fight for Queer and Trans civil rights.

Submission is free and accepted artists will each receive a stipend of $450. All visual art mediums will be considered and the work will be exhibited at the Dyke+ ArtHaus in spring, 2026. Artists should apply as individuals and not in pre-selected pairs. Lesbian and Trans artists of color are strongly encouraged to apply.

Paired artists may choose to complete individual pieces that speak to each other, or collaborate on one piece. These newly created works can address a host of issues including, but not limited to, environmentalism, decolonialism, anti-racist, anti-ableist, and other resistance projects. Works can span a wide range of mediums including, but not limited to, painting, textiles, collage, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and video.

In conjunction with the exhibition will be a series of salons to include a mix of artist talks and community conversations, with the goal of building understanding and solidarity among generations.

ELIGIBILITY: Philly-based artists who are part of the LGBTQIA2+ community.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Sunday, October 19, 2025, 11:59 PM. There will be no extensions.

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION: Week of November 3, 2025

SALES: All work created for the exhibit will be for sale with 100% of sales going to the artists.
