On Saturday June 10, at 7pm, The Big, Gay Cabaret comes to Voyeur Nightclub for Pride Month.
Directed by Joe Madsen (see below for bio), and hosted by Philly’s Queen Brittany Lynn (see bio below), this cabaret features a whirlwind cast of local talents and drag superstars. The Big, Gay Cabaret tells stories of Pride in all of its LGBTQIA+ forms-through live singing, comedic parodies, contemporary dance, and multimedia video presentations.
The Big, Gay Cabaret features our darling drag divas Yari, Rocceaux, Victoria Cortez, and Morgan Wells-with vocalists Billy Cavallo, Hanna Parke, and Chris Murphy. Burlesque and dance by Honeytree Evileye and her fabulous team. Of course, our emcee and mistress of ceremonies for the night is none other than the incomporable Miss Brittany Lynn.
Tickets available on Eventbrite.com and Phillydragmafia.com. $25 advance tickets (general admission), $40 VIP seating (limited number available). Door tickets, if available at the time, will be $35.
Joe Madsen Bio:
Joe is grateful and excited to be staging this Big, Gay Cabaret with the one and only Brittany Lynn. He made his Philly debut in last year’s 2022 Fringe Festival with Neonatal, a play he wrote and directed in the Christ Church Neighborhood House. Prior to this—while living in Dublin, Ireland—he directed the first stage adaptation of the best-selling novel At Swim, Two Boys by Jamie O’Neill. Previously, Joe has also directed and performed in shows with the Mask and Bauble Dramatic Society at his alma mater Georgetown University, including Don’t Drink the Water (Director), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Vice Principal Panch), Peaches and Freon (Director), and Arsenic and Old Lace (Dr. Einstein).
Brittany Lynn/ Ian Morrison Bio:
Brittany Lynn is celebrating her 26th year of entertaining audiences-and could not be happier to bring the Big, Gay Cabaret to life with its director Joe Madsen.
Brittany Lynn is Philly’s most award winning queen-she even has her own day given to her by the City Council of Philadelphia! The “Don” of Philly’s Drag Mafia (Phillydragmafia.com), Brittany has performed all across the tri-state area at casinos (with a monthly cabaret at Resorts Casino), nightclubs, bars, and more!
Brittany is the creator of the Drag Queen Story Time program for Philly’s schools, parks, and museums (having published two children’s books of her own)-and is the founder of the Miss Fancy Brigade, the only all LGBTQIA+ brigade with the Philadelphia Mummers!
Winner of Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly 2022 for BEST DRAG SHOWS and named one of “the Top 100 Most Influential People of Philadelphia”, Brittany is not only known for her performances, but for her work with multiple charities on various platforms.
