Walnut's Independence Studio Sparkles with the Spirit of the Legendary Liberace!

Walnut Street Theatre's 2014-2015 Independence Studio on 3 season continues with a tribute to 'Mr. Showmanship' himself, Liberace!. Written and Directed by Brent Hazelton, the production begins with previews on March 24th, opens on March 26th and continues through April 12th in the Walnut's Independence Studio on 3.

50th Anniversary of LGBT Civil Rights Movement Hires Cathy Renna

The organizers of the 50th anniversary of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights movement today announced that they have brought on Cathy Renna, longtime communications expert, media activist and Senior Vice-President of TargetCue to spearhead the public relations and visibility components of the week-long celebration and commemoration of the first organized civil rights demonstrations on July 4, 1965.

Philadelphia, PA - The Board of Directors for the William Way LGBT Community Center is happy to announce that Christopher D. Bartlett has accepted the position of Executive Director. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the Center, including being Interim Co-Director of the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund, Director of the LGBT Leadership Initiative, Director of the LGBT Community Assessment, Co-Founder/Trainer/Facilitator at the Gay Men's Health Leadership Academy, Program Development and Evaluation Consultant to the AIDS Activities Coordinating Office at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and as Executive Director of the SafeGuards Gay Men's Health Project throughout the 1990's.

Chris is well-known to the LGBT community in Philadelphia and looks forward to working with the community to continue to build on the progress of the past several years in fundraising and programming development. He has a BA from Brown University, Providence, RI, in Classics and a BA in Ancient History and Ancient Philosophy from the New College at Oxford University in Oxford, England.

On Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 5:30 PM, Chris will attend Building Bash to meet and greet all of you. If you have not yet responded as attending the reception, please do so by emailing Josh Kruger at Tickets to the reception are $75.00 but complimentary to Cornerstone Society members.
