Dear President Obama - Do Not Leave Us Behind!

Let me start off by saying gracias. Gracias for taking action on comprehensive immigration reform legislation given that Congress has failed to act on bipartisan reform measures. I stand in solidarity with the more than 267,000 undocumented lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender adults who live in perpetual fear of deportation to the over 80 countries where it is a crime to be who we are!

The 50th Anniversary festivities from Thursday, July 2 to Sunday, July 5 include panels, LGBT history exhibits, parties, a festival and special events with the highlight the 50th Anniversary Celebration on a large stage in front of Independence Hall on Saturday, July 4.

Philadelphia, PA - The Board of Directors for the William Way LGBT Community Center is happy to announce that Christopher D. Bartlett has accepted the position of Executive Director. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the Center, including being Interim Co-Director of the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund, Director of the LGBT Leadership Initiative, Director of the LGBT Community Assessment, Co-Founder/Trainer/Facilitator at the Gay Men's Health Leadership Academy, Program Development and Evaluation Consultant to the AIDS Activities Coordinating Office at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and as Executive Director of the SafeGuards Gay Men's Health Project throughout the 1990's.

Chris is well-known to the LGBT community in Philadelphia and looks forward to working with the community to continue to build on the progress of the past several years in fundraising and programming development. He has a BA from Brown University, Providence, RI, in Classics and a BA in Ancient History and Ancient Philosophy from the New College at Oxford University in Oxford, England.

On Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 5:30 PM, Chris will attend Building Bash to meet and greet all of you. If you have not yet responded as attending the reception, please do so by emailing Josh Kruger at Tickets to the reception are $75.00 but complimentary to Cornerstone Society members.
