Q Lounge opens with a bang

Miss Information sees al and knows all. I’m a gossip queen that keeps your fellow Philly homos informed!

Well Miss Information was back being a VIP again this weekend. And who wouldn’t want me at their event, I AM fabulous! I attended the sneak peak to the new club Q Lounge! Now for those of you living under a rock, let Miss Information fill you in. Bump Lounge, on the corner of 13th and Locust, that was previously owned by the Weiss Brothers – the same duo that run Voyeur (formerly Pure) and Woody’s (formerly owned by Bill Wood who now owns Knock) is now run by the ever sexy John Caputo – and it’s now called Q Lounge and Kitchen – get all that?

Thursday was the sneak peak for us VIP’s. Starting at 8pm there was a line around the corner. We all know Miss Information doesn’t do lines, so I walked right up, air kissed the drag queen with the clip board and walked right in. Don’t ask if my name is on the list, honey, I was a diva while you were still in training heels!

The second you got in you saw the super hot and always adorable John Caputo dressed in a sleek suit. Oh his smile can melt even the most bitter of drag queen, trust me I know. The usual who’s-who were there including the sexy couple Mike and Steve – the only couple in the world can can drag hundreds of gay men into the middle of no where and make them have a good time! The Phabulous boys of Phag, Jason and Dominic, were on the scene. The grand dame of Where Magazine, Miss Laura Burkhart was working the room as always. Personally, Miss Information HATES being upstaged, but in this case, Miss Burkhart can do it anytime! Even soon to be State Rep Eric Reid and his cute boyfriend Tom were leaning up on the bar with new Judge Dan Anders. I voted for all of them – twice!

And don’t think it’s just the boys having fun. Representing the lovely ladies of Philly was Tammy Sortman, head of the LGBT Tourism Caucus, Sarah Blazucki, editor of the PGN and of course Tracy Buchholz of almost every fabulous girl party of Philly, including The Scene.

Of course the media was there. PhillyGayCalendar is everywhere, so that goes without saying, but also, we saw people from Where Magazine, NightLifeGay.com (the hunky Bruce Yelk off his recent huge success of the Gayborhood Games), Edge Philadelphia, and Matt Ray was running around trying to get all the good gossip. Don’t edge in on my leads girl, or I’ll cutcha!

Inside, the space looked familiar. Not much has changed. But on closer inspection you see that it’s subtly fabulous. Those nasty carpets that EVERYONE complained about were gone and replace with not standard hardwood, but cork floors. The orange glow has been replaced with red (in which I looked AMAZING). Most of the large invasive tables have been replaced by small cocktail tables and more lounge booths along the outside wall.

Overall it’s still the same bar we have all grown to love, with some classy tweaks, and with the super sexy John Caputo running things we are sure to see some exciting events.

If you want to see more, check out the grand opening tonight! With tons of excitement, drag queens and yes, even Miss Information will be there, so you better buy this bitch a drink
