Where are you when watching seamen run all over the deck? The Big Gay Boat Party of course! Every Spring PhillyGayCalendar, Sister’s Nightclub, and DJ Deejay hosts one of the hottest dance parties on the river, and May’s fundraiser was no different. With models posing in Mermaid and Sailor outfits, the party was sure to be a hot event to start off the summer. The highlight was drag queen Omyra Lynn rocking out to Beyonce, totally stealing the show.

Now I will admit this was the first time I attended a Big Gay Boat Party on the Moshulu and I will say I had a blast. The event took place on a Sunday, and at first that made me a little wary of whom all was going to show up. But it definitely didn’t seem like a detractor. At the top of the night there appeared to be close to 300+ people walking around talking to one another and taking photos with the great city lights of Camden behind them.

Side note: Did you ever notice how nice of a view Camden is from the Philadelphia water front? It’s so shocking to believe once you pass over the bridge, the city looks totally different. I’m getting off topic…

If you were there early enough you might have had the chance to see the four sexy models posing in front of Jonathan Hernandez’s lens. Of course Anthony and Luis were sporting the six packs of every man’s dreams, while Shy and Timaree were rocking out the sexy bodies every lady wants this summer. If not, don’t fear because the night was full of sexy guys and girls dancing to the hottest beats spun by DJ Deejay. A really successful fundraiser can be based on who shows up and this year, the Moshulu was full of people from a range of communities so I considered it a booming night.
