You’ve been hitting the gym trying to get your body right to show it off in the summer. Well, be prepared to show it all during this year’s Boys of Summer party in August. Here’s what to look for when picking out a swimsuit for the Splash Pool Party at the North Shore Beach Club.

The key word here is “sexy”. Leave the board shorts for the Jersey Shore. And since summer 2014 is all about color, brighten it up! You’ll look your best with a colorful midcut trunk (meaning they’ll stop midway through the thigh). You could even go with a nice brief, but beware, if you haven’t done your squats this year your legs will tell on you.

The biggest thing about wearing anything (not just swimwear) is fit. So make sure you check the label and look for the appropriate waist size. Don’t try to squeeze into anything too small – that’s not impressive. Love your body for the way it is and wear your size.
