The four day festival spanning from Thursday, September 28th to Sunday, October 1st will host drag shows, fitness classes, a comedy night, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and so much more!


On Saturday, September 30th, visitors are invited to the Out & About Street Festival from 11a.m. – 4 p.m. This is set to bring local vendors & organizations, an Artisan Market, the Gay Street Pride Party, and the Philadelphia Freedom Band.


“Each year, our goal is to expand this event and to further collaborate with different LGBTQ+-specific performance groups, artists, and organizations,” Caitlin Marsilii, the Events Coordinator for the Manayunk Development Corporation, said. “This event is personally important to me as a member of the community. Being able to put on an event with and for the LGBTQ+ community and the Manayunk & Philadelphia community overall is priceless, and the weekend is not one to be missed.”


Out & About collaborations include performance groups such as Philly Drag Mafia, The Philadelphia Freedom Band, Transylvanian Nipple Productions, and Ash Theater Company. Philly Drag Mafia has been a part of the event since its beginning in 2019. They have won Philly Magazine’s Best of Philly for two years in a row: 2022 for Best Drag Shows and 2023 for Best Drag Brunch.


Not only will the event serve as a weekend of fun and celebration, but it will raise money for Temple Health’s Gender Affirming Healthcare Team who will also be present at the Saturday street festival. Other local organizations who will participate in Saturday’s happenings include Queer Run, J.Proud, Prevention Meets Fashion, Access Matters and more.


The event, overall, wouldn’t happen without Manayunk’s supportive businesses and merchants, many of which are hosting shows, brunches, and game nights throughout the weekend.
