As queer and trans communities face increasing political and cultural attacks across the country, Philadelphia responds with resilience, joy, and defiant celebration. On Sunday, October 12, 2025, the city will once again host the country’s largest National Coming Out Day Festival—OURfest, organized by Philly Pride 365.
Running from 12:00pm to 7:00pm in the heart of the Gayborhood, OURfest (short for Our Uniting Resilience) is more than a street festival. It’s a movement. It’s a statement. And it’s a sanctuary. This year’s theme—“Out Loud, Out Front: Power, Protection & Pride”—centers visibility, equity, and collective care in a time of rising anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment.
According to Tyrell Brown, Founder and Executive Director of Philly Pride 365, “Coming OUT in 2025 is still an act of resistance. This year’s theme reminds us that we must show up for each other loudly, lead from the front, and take pride not just in who we are, but in how we care for and protect one another.”
What to Expect at OURfest 2025
Philadelphia’s Gayborhood will transform into a full-scale festival zone—stretching from 12th to 13th streets, Locust to Spruce—featuring over 200 community organizations, artists, performers, food trucks, health advocates, and queer-owned businesses.
Main Features Include:
New in 2025: Pre-Festival Signature Events
OURfest is no longer a single-day event—it’s a week-long celebration of queer identity, healing, and resistance. Leading up to the main event, Philly Pride 365 has curated four signature events:
📅 Saturday, October 4 – OURfest Roundtable: “Out Loud, Out Front”
A community dialogue at Voyeur Nightclub focusing on HIV prevention, civic engagement, long-term survivor wellness, and trans/nonbinary health equity.
📅 Tuesday, October 7 – Loud & Proud: A National Coming OUT Day Poetry Slam
Presented with You Can’t Kill A Poet, this event brings queer and trans poets to Stir Lounge for an unfiltered night of truth-telling, performance, and literary resistance.
📅 Friday, October 10 – WELL.YES Resource Marketplace
Hosted at PHMC Health Center on Cedar, this event connects Black and Brown LGBTQIA+ communities with affirming health services, STI testing, peer wellness sessions, and live music.
📅 Saturday, October 11 until 3am! – “Player One!” by BOS Philly
Capping off the pre-festival weekend is the city’s largest nightlife event, hosted by nonprofit powerhouse BOS Philly. Held at the iconic NOTO Nightclub, this high-energy dance party features international circuit DJs GSP and J Warren, with VIP experiences ranging from balcony access to stage-level “God Mode” booths. Proceeds benefit local LGBTQ+ charities, continuing BOS Philly’s mission of partying with purpose.
A Festival Rooted in Community Power
This year’s OURfest prioritizes access, safety, and inclusion. Alcohol-free zones, affirming healthcare providers, disability-centered resources, and multilingual volunteers ensure that everyone can celebrate in ways that feel authentic and safe.
And while the stages, parties, and performances are reasons to cheer, it’s the spirit of collective care and cultural resilience that sets OURfest apart. In a time when Black and Brown queer and trans people are being directly targeted across the country, Philadelphia offers a vibrant and unapologetic response: We’re still here. We’re still coming out. And we’re bringing the whole community with us.
