February had many dark and stormy days, and over two feet of snow. For about Two weeks my car was frozen into an igloo of ice, thanks to avid snowplow. So, I turned to DVDs. What better place to get 6 or 8 DVDs at a time than the Public Library? And so I did.

A few really stood out and caught my fancy. I’m writing about one today, the Second Season of Reacher, starring that adorable baby doll Alan Ritchson as the protagonist.

Reacher Season 2 is based on the 2007 novel Bad Luck and Trouble. The plot introduces the viewer to Reacher’s military command of the 110th Special Investigation Unit. We get to know the characters and their relationships. Years later, after their military careers, members of the 110th are being murdered, and Reacher calls them all together to investigate.

Cast includes Hot Alan Ritchson as Reacher, Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, Serinda Swan as Karla Dixon, Shaun Sipos as David O’Donnell, as the remaining crew. Robert Patrick plays the shady Shane Langston. The even shadier Ferdinand Kingsley is A.M.

Dominick Lambardozzi co-stars as a New York City detective who provides great frisson to Reacher’s cool. He begins as a prickly prick, but earns our respect as an honest cop.

The action sequences are thrilling. Reacher is supremely adept at hand-to-hand combat. Early on, he is buying some clothes from a thrift shop. No sooner does he leave with them to go to an outdoor ATM, then he realizes and foils a carjacking/kidnapping through brute force. That’s his way. And what a way he has about him.

Alan Ritchson is a big man, who would strike caution into any sane man. Not to mention he exudes extreme male hotness.

We find out that the totally capable, smart, kick-ass women who served under him in the military have an uneasy blend of motherly feelings and hot lust for his delectable body. Of course.

At one point, Karla sees him shirtless and steamy, and this intellectual paragon goes wild for his body. Their jumping and pumping trampoline gymnastics are hot.

Highly recommended to watch. The public library supplied the DVDs, so seeing the eight episodes won’t cost you a defunct penny. Enjoy some Reacher scenes and Alan Ritchson worship in the provided links.

Season 3 should be streaming now, or wait for the DVDs. There will be a Season 4. Lucky us. The hours of entertainment you’ll receive is well worth your investment.
