LesbiVeggies is an award-winning, Black-owned, lesbian-owned vegan and gluten-free restaurant in the heart of Downtown Camden, NJ – just 10 minutes across the Ben Franklin Bridge from Philadelphia’s Gayborhood.
Founded in 2018 by Chef Brennah Lambert as a mobile meal-prep business out of her grandmother’s kitchen, LesbiVeggies evolved into a brick-and-mortar café in Audubon in 2021 and was quickly named Best Vegan Restaurant by Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly. In 2026, Chef Lambert relocated the restaurant to Downtown Camden as a full-service BYO, expanding the kitchen and adding dinner service, private events, full catering, and plant-based cooking classes.
Every dish is 100% vegan, 100% gluten-free, and made entirely from scratch – with soul, intention, and community at the center. Signature menu items include Blackened Cajun Cauliflower Sliders, Birria Tacos built on stewed jackfruit, Coconut Curry Noodles, Zucchini Corn Fritters, Eggplant Parm, and Maple Dijon Brussels Sprouts.
Chef Lambert, a Rutgers-Camden alum and proud Black lesbian business owner, designed LesbiVeggies as a bridge between chef and community – a welcoming, inclusive space where Black representation, queer identity, and exceptional plant-based food meet. Artwork celebrating Black women and a painted Lauryn Hill lyric anchor the space.
