Mazzoni Center operates the only community-based health center in Philadelphia directly targeting the LGBTQ communities. The Center provides primary medical care, HIV care, transgender care, GYN services, and STD screening/treatment.
Mazzoni Center is the oldest AIDS service organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and operates the largest community-based HIV testing and STI screening program in Philadelphia, testing an average of 8,000 people annually. Mazzoni Center provides community outreach (street, internet, and social media) aimed at linking at-risk individuals with unknown HIV status to HIV testing services. The outreach team distributes over 250,000 condoms per year. For individuals who are newly diagnosed with HIV, Mazzoni Center links them to appropriate medical care and other support services.
In addition to reaching high-risk populations with targeted outreach and prevention programs, we are committed to serving HIV-positive people in Philadelphia with a broad range of services aimed at meeting their health and wellness needs.
Our HIV-related services include: testing and prevention programs, access to and education about PrEP and PEP, expert medical care for those with HIV, mental health counseling and support groups, case management services, and a food bank.
