The Tavern is an intimate, modern, and cozy restaurant on one of America’s most historic streets. While parts of the building are hundreds of years old, including the portions of the basement used in the Underground Railroad, there is nothing antiquated about The Tavern’s menu.

The 40-seat space and fully renovated kitchen were designed to provide local and regional foodies with an unparalleled culinary experience.

The subterranean dining room is housed in the historic Tavern on Camac, a long-running piano bar and nightclub, and makes a great first or last stop for revelers that are visiting the establishment’s other spaces.  Originally a speakeasy, the space transitioned into a well-known piano bar in 1937, and today, it is one of the nation’s oldest music venues – making it a natural home for The Tavern’s lived-in vibe and casually cool appeal.
