Val’s Lesbian Bar

Val’s Lesbian Bar is Philadelphia’s only lesbian bar, located at 605 S. Third St. Opened by partners Julia Harris and Clover Gilfor, the space is designed to feel warm and intimate, with soft lighting, red and pink tones, creative cocktails, mocktails, and elevated bar snacks. In addition to drinks and food, Val’s plans to build community through events like dance parties, karaoke, and Pride programming. The bar also represents an important addition to a small but growing number of lesbian bars across the U.S., offering a dedicated gathering space for connection, visibility, and queer community.
