You may have heard the story before. But never like this. My Carmilla is a bold reimagining of J. Sheridan Le Fanu’s 1872 vampire novella Carmilla through a queer, feminist, and postcolonial lens. Transported from the gothic castle of the original novella to New England, this folk horror adaptation features music, movement, and a cast of five performers in multiple roles to explore desire, repression, and freedom. The actors playing Laura and Carmilla will alternate roles each performance, highlighting the question: who is the predator, and who is the prey? www.mycarmillatheplay.com
