Philadelphia Dyke March 2026: “This Is What Democracy Looks Like”
The 2026 Philadelphia Dyke March takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, bringing hundreds of LGBTQ+ community members and allies together for a powerful day of visibility, celebration, and protest in the heart of Philadelphia’s Gayborhood. This year’s theme — “This Is What Democracy Looks Like” — highlights the power of collective action and community voice at a time when LGBTQ+ rights and freedoms continue to face challenges across the country.
The event begins with a community rally at 11:00 AM at Louis Kahn Park, at the corner of 11th and Pine Streets in Philadelphia’s historic Gayborhood. The march steps off at noon, with the legendary Dykes on Bikes leading the way, revving their engines to rally the crowd. Participants take to the streets in a vibrant show of pride, solidarity, and activism through the Gayborhood and surrounding Center City streets, concluding around 2:00 PM.
The Philadelphia Dyke March is a grassroots, community-driven event that centers the voices and experiences of lesbians, queer women, trans and nonbinary people, and all who identify with the dyke community. Embracing the motto “It’s a protest, not a parade,” the march has been a cornerstone of Philly Pride Month for years — emphasizing visibility, solidarity, and the ongoing fight for equality and justice. Participants can expect community speakers, music, and activism. BYO signs and flags.
Free, open to the public, and no ticket required. The Dyke March welcomes participants from across Philadelphia, the region, and beyond.
