Trailblazers: LGBTQ+ Elders is an intergenerational dialogue connecting today’s LGBTQ+ progress to the activists and organizers who built the movement. Held at the John C. Anderson Cultural Center — named after Philadelphia’s first openly gay elected official and located inside the John C. Anderson Apartments (the city’s LGBTQ+-friendly senior community in the Gayborhood) — the conversation links generations through storytelling, resistance history, and community building.

Featured trailblazers share firsthand accounts of organizing through the AIDS crisis, the fight for nondiscrimination protections, the founding of Philly’s LGBTQ+ institutions, and the Annual Reminders pickets at Independence Hall. Younger advocates respond and connect those legacies to the work happening right now under the 2026 Pride theme of “Pride Is Power.”

Part of Philly Pride 365’s official 2026 Round Table panel series. Free and open to the public.
