The Igloo

The Igloo is a proudly LGBTQ+-owned frozen dessert shop serving Philadelphia since 2012. Co-owners Zac Parker and Bill Chlebowski offer a wide range of homemade treats including soft-serve, custard, gelato, Italian water ice, vegan ice cream, and probiotic-rich froyo. Originally founded near the Gayborhood as a healthy dessert alternative, The Igloo has grown into a community institution at its Grays Ferry Avenue location. The shop has a strong track record of giving back — fundraising for gender affirmation surgeries, hosting same-sex engagement parties, and partnering with LGBTQ+ organizations. Named Best Bakery by Philadelphia Magazine.
