Woody’s has been an LGBT landmark in Philadelphia for over 40 years. While it still bills itself as an LGBTQ+ venue, the crowd has shifted significantly in recent years — today it draws a predominantly straight clientele, including bachelorette and bridal parties. The bar occupies a large multi-level space at 202 S. 13th Street with a dance floor, video screens, and daily happy hours. It remains a recognizable name in the Gayborhood, but visitors looking for a queer-majority crowd may find a better fit at other nearby venues.
