OURfest - known for more than three decades as OutFest - is the first festival in the United States created to commemorate National Coming Out Day, and it happens right here in Philadelphia every October.

A weekend celebrating the LGBT+ community’s journeys, resilience, and radiance. Anchored by a free street festival and resource fair on Sunday, with parties and independent events across the weekend.

International headliner DJ Guy Scheiman leads a lineup of local talent, with VIP balcony access available. All proceeds benefit Philly LGBT+ charities.

OURfest or OutFest? Your Questions

When is OURfest 2026?

The festival is Sunday, October 11, 2026, from noon to 7 PM on 12th and 13th Streets between Locust and Spruce. The OURfest weekend starts Saturday, October 10, with BOS Philly’s Lost in Space at Voyeur Nightclub.

Is there an OURfest parade in 2026?

No. There is no OURfest parade in 2026. The free Sunday street festival in the Gayborhood is the main public event.

Is OURfest free?

Yes. The Sunday festival and resource fair are free and open to everyone. Parties and ticketed events over the weekend are priced separately by their organizers.

Is OURfest the same as OutFest?

Yes. OutFest was Philadelphia’s National Coming Out Day festival from 1990 through 2019. After the organization that produced it dissolved, the celebration returned in 2023 under a new name: OURfest, short for Our Uniting Resilience. Same Gayborhood, same National Coming Out Day tradition.

Why did OutFest change its name?

OutFest was produced by Philly Pride Presents, which dissolved in 2021. GALAEI and its Pride 365 program took over Philadelphia’s LGBT+ Pride events and relaunched the October festival as OURfest. It is now produced by Philly Pride 365.

Is OURfest family friendly?

Yes. There is a dedicated family area from noon to 4 PM with Drag Story Time, bounce houses and a low-sensory space. Chaperones are suggested for anyone under 15. Vice Alley is 18+ and Woody’s outdoor party is 21+.
