Franky Bradley’s

Business

Franky Bradley’s, which also operates as Franky Bradley’s | B.West, is one of the few rooms in the Gayborhood built as much for performance as for drinking. It sits on Chancellor Street and works as a bar, a restaurant and a venue at the same time, with a programming calendar that leans hard into queer nightlife.

The programming. Drag, burlesque, karaoke, queer comedy showcases, themed dance parties, DJ sets and community maker markets all run here. It is a regular home for Philadelphia’s burlesque scene, including student showcases, and for drag that sits outside the mainstream circuit. If you want to see performance rather than stand at a bar, this is the most reliable room in the neighborhood.

The space. The venue runs across multiple levels, with a ground-floor bar and restaurant and a second-floor event space holding roughly 200. That upstairs room is also available for private hire, which is worth knowing if you are planning something and want a Gayborhood address.

What to expect. A full food and drink menu alongside the entertainment, with the kitchen more serious than most bars in the area. Admission varies by event and some programming is free, so check the listing for whatever you are coming for. The crowd shifts substantially depending on what is on stage.

Getting there. Chancellor Street in Washington Square West, a short walk from Woody’s and the rest of the 13th Street strip.
