In June, we reported the the infamous gayborhood landmark, Gay Pizza, closed their doors. Many were obviously upset as this was the go-to hot spot for post nightclub food after an evening in the gayborhood.

We are excited to announce that Gay Pizza is reopening – (209 S. 13th St. across the street from Woody's)

The two brothers that own the cigar shop next door, Andrew and Mike Cappelli have decided to reopen the space.

"We are changing the name to Pizzeria Cappelli." said owner Andrew Cappelli, "We have no problem with the nicknames the [community] has given the pizza shop and welcome the names to stay" 

There will be a soft opening tonight Friday August 21, and Saturday August 22 starting at 10pm (until 4am) and they will provide a simular menu.

Their official opening with be Wednesday August 26.
